I am an Assistant Professor at IQS (Universitat Ramon Llull) in Barcelona. I obtained my PhD in statistical cosmology at the University of Barcelona. My research during my PhD focused on modelling and statistical inference for data from galaxy surveys, which I applied to the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Survey (DESI) Data Release 1. Prior to that, I pursued the Mathematics and Physics Bachelor degrees, followed by the MSc in Astrophysics, Particle Physics and Cosmology, all at the University of Barcelona.
I am currently a visiting researcher, both with the Network Inequality and Fairness Group in Graz and the Complexity Science Hub (CSH) in Vienna. My research interests include the application of mathematical and statistical modelling to social systems, particularly on questions of inequality and structural imbalances. Within the group in Graz, I am working on topics related to gender imbalance in science, and I am broadly interested in understanding how network structure shapes opportunities and disparities in academic and social contexts. Additionally, I am working with the Healthcare & Medicine group at the CSH, in mathematically understanding comorbidities between pairs of diseases at a population level.
