Hi! I’m a senior software engineer with over a decade of industry experience, currently completing a master’s in Computational Social Science at TU Graz under the guidance of Prof Fariba Karimi. In my thesis, “Network Ranking Fairness under Homophily and Feedback Loops”, I blend Sociology, Science and Technology Studies and Data Science to study how ostensibly fair rankings can get worse over time as humans switch their connections. My current focus is on building robust, maintainable infrastructure to support research in network science, fairness, and co-evolutionary dynamics. I’m particularly drawn to developing technical infrastructure for studying complex social phenomena. I’m also interested in how human beings (fail to) come together to pursue common objectives—such as fairness—respond to collective challenges, and how individuals, especially subalterns, can navigate and thrive in these environments.
