Noy Lev

Hi! I’m Noy! I am a member of the Computational Social Science and Networked Inequality group led by professor Fariba Karimi, at the Complexity Science Hub Vienna. I joined the group in February 2023 as an intern. I analyzed co-authorship networks to investigate the effects of gender bias in academia on the visibility of women scholars and their access to information.
In my current research as a student assistant I study the role of similarity between scholars and homophily on bias against minorities in academia. To achieve this goal I use tools such as multi-attribute analysis of scholarly citation and collaboration networks, network modeling techniques and simulations.
